Come with us for a relaxing day away as we visit Andalusia and New Hope! Andalusia is located on a wooded promontory overlooking the Delaware River, and has been a stately presence on this stretch of water, just north of Philadelphia, for more than 225 years.
The ancestral home of the Biddle family, Andalusia is also a natural paradise of preserved native woodlands and spectacular gardens that continue to evolve. The mansion is at the center of the property, called the Big House – is one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the United States. After we have a guided tour the Big House, we are free to explore leisurely the gardens and the grounds.
Next, we board the coach and make our way to New Hope, PA, home to eclectic, riverside restaurants and cultural attractions. This scenic small town is located adjacent to the Delaware River. Here, everyone is free to explore, shop, and find lunch on one’s own.
