What is ageism? Frequently this question prompts thinking about discrimination against older people but ageism is much more complex. It involves how we think about ourselves as persons getting older, how we communicate about getting older, how aging is portrayed in the media and much more. Ageism is an invisible force which is everywhere but hard to identify.
